Fowler Laundry Solutions (Fowler), in Union, N.J., received the Vended Laundry and Multi-Housing Distributor of the Year awards; Sunshine Sales, in Glendale, Ariz., earned the On-Premise Laundry Distributor of the Year award; Lavanett, in St. Laurent, Quebec, received the Canadian Distributor of the Year award; and Laundry Systems of Tennessee (Laundry Systems), in Sevierville, Tenn., earned the Girbau Industrial Distributor of the Year Award. Oshkosh, Wis. — Wis.--Continental Girbau® (Continental) recently introduced a ProfitPlus® Control upgrade kit for vended Continental washer-extractors manufactured after 2009. In addition to “extra” cycle options including Extra Wash and Extra Spin, it showcases a new “Extra Sanitize” option that allows storeowners to easily add functionality for sanitization of laundry loads, and to monetize that cycle selection. In doing so, whenever a customer selects the “Sanitize” option, an owner-specified cost is added to overall vend price. Oshkosh, Wis. — Tyler Willman, of Oshkosh, Wis., recently joined Girbau North America (GNA) as regional sales manager in training. In this training role, he is immersed in all aspects of GNA's internal departments, including shipping and receiving, parts, technical services, customer care, lead fulfillment and sales. His responsibilities include daily interface with end-user lead inquiries, distributer lead fulfillment and service request follow-up, among many others.
