Voyage on the Mediterranean
2024 Incentive Trip
What you need to know: Life Onboard Oasis of the Seas
Embarkation Day, May 19, 2024:
MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN THE HOTEL LOBBY AT 11:30 AM, SUNDAY MAY 19th to board the bus to port. You will hand your luggage off at the arrival terminal. Remember these porters are not Cruise staff so you will want to tip them separately.
Make sure your bags are tagged along with the RC tag that you print out. MAKE SURE YOU PRINT YOUR RC TAGS FROM HOME. (You will be able to do this approximately 1 – 2 weeks prior to departure)
You will show your SeaPass to board. Once you reach your stateroom, your key cards will be on the door.
Do your muster drill early; the drill is easy. You will watch a video on the app and then just go to the assembly station to check in–this will be noted on your SeaPass. There is no set time for this, but; it must be done prior to departure.
Find a place to eat lunch and roam the cruise ship, it’s like a small city, there is plenty to explore! Make sure you meet your Cabin Steward. They are exceptional people and will ensure you have everything you need to be comfortable in your cabin.
Cashless environment:
Royal Caribbean works as a cashless environment. Any charges while onboard will go to the credit card you have placed onboard at registration. The gratuities for the Wait Staff, Wine Captain in the Dining Room and Cabin Stewart have been covered by GNA. However, feel free to give an additional gratuity if you have someone that goes above and beyond.
You will receive a daily itinerary (Cruise Compass) with activities and times for meals, shows, special activities etc to let you know what is going on, on the ship. You can monitor your expenses on your app and Cruise Compass as it appears on your TV in your stateroom.
Dress
When you’re onboard, the right look will vary by venue. But here are a few types of suggested attire you’ll see, grouped by item.
- Casual: You’re on vacation – relax! Jeans, polos, sundresses and blouses are all the right amount of laid back. Please keep swimwear to the Pool Deck. Shorts are welcomed for breakfast and lunch.
- Smart Casual: (Dinner) Think of this as a step up from your typical dinner wear. Dress to impress with collared shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses, or pantsuits. Jackets, sports coats and blazers.
- Formal Nights:Think of our formal dress code as a night out in your best black-tie look — suits and ties, tuxedos, cocktail dresses or evening gowns are all acceptable options. There can be 1 to 4 formal nights during a sailing and is at the ship’s discretion. 7 night cruises – 2 formal nights (Subject to ship planning – may be only one night)
Main Dining Room/Specialty Dining Venues
Bare feet are not allowed at any time in any venue and tank tops are not permitted in the Main Dining Room or Specialty Dining venues for dinner.
Cellular Phones
Before you travel, check with your cell phone provider for international access and rates. Cellphone use in a foreign country can be very costly. If you travel with your cellphone, be sure to turn your cellular data off or put your phone on airplane mode, as very expensive roaming charges can occur if cellular data is left on.
