Voyage on the Mediterranean

2024 Incentive Trip

General Travel Info

  • Avoid Jet Lag -While on the plane, try to get some sleep, even if it’s just for a little while. Make sure to drink plenty of water and get up and walk around during the flight. Most flights from the United States to Europe arrive in the morning or early afternoon and hotel rooms will not be ready! Leave your bags with the concierge and try to stay up until a reasonable bedtime and get a good night’s sleep.
  • CPAP Machines – Distilled water in Europe is found in a pharmacy not in a grocery store.
  • Motion Sickness patches – remember to put them on at least 4 hours prior to boarding the ship

Hotel Info

  • Hotel will ask for your passport number upon check in. Remember to keep them handy.
  • Hotels generally do not have ice or vending machines. Ice is usually not put in your drinks.
  • The H10 Metropolitan uses standard plastic key cards as the door key. This key card will also be used to activate electricity in your room. When you enter the room you will need to insert your key into the slot by the door to activate your electricity.

Eating & Drinking

  • European coffee is strong and typically espresso. Order a Café Americano, it’s not as strong. When all else fails, add lots of milk!
  • When eating out, you need to ask to get your bill. It is considered rude for them to bring it to you without you requesting.
  • At most outdoor cafés do not wait to be seated unless there’s a host/hostess. In most cases, it is first come first served so grab a table when it becomes available.
  • It is not recommended to dine off ship in the evening. There are too many variables that may keep you from arriving to port on time for vessel sailing.
